Show #8: Pre-show Discussion
We’re diving back into the scary-fun world of 1980s television, and we’re revisiting the supertech machines.
That’s right, we’re going to talk about Knight Rider.
Discuss amongst yourselves.

Ok I admit it, as a kid, I liked this show.
Ok, I admit it, as a bohemian art student, I avoided this show like the plague.
I was not a big fan of the show, but my brother got to control the TV that night of the week. I watched for a while because I had to, then I realized I could just go to my room and read.
I also remember liking “The A-Team” more. A lot more.
I love this show. This is Hasselhoff’s best role.
Knight Rider 2000 was an interesting evolution, but Knight Rider 2010 took it too far.
And I think I’m the only one who enjoyed Team Knight Rider.
This has got to be one of the top spin off shows of all time. Great topic Summer.
Could never get into this show, the car was too smug and characters cardboard cut outs. Of the few episodes I watched, I was rooting for the bad guys.
Is that the same David Hasslehoff that did this?:

I watched religiously as a kid, but at this point, only remember the K.A.R.R. episode.
I really don’t remember much of it at all, other than I really used to love it as a kid. I remember the car more than anything else. Seemed real and cool at the time. I did see it not so long ago. But, it hasen’t aged well at all has it.
I was mildly into this for a couple of episodes as a teen, just because it was “sci fi” and I was a geek. I really only remember one episode where David H. fell asleep at the wheel and the car was driving itself around a bendy road. He was slumped over against the side window and a police car was trying to pull him over. The car (I’m just too lazy to type K.I.T.T. more than once) woke him up and they concocted this story where his neck was permanently cricked over to one side and he was very hard of hearing. It seemed kind of a clever ruse at the time.
It was okay background noise for it’s time. It certainly was no Magnum PI.
Fred, don’t even get me started on the joy that was Magnum P.I.
Joe thats just sad.
Darn, “Knight Rider” was going to be one of the first topics of my upcoming podcast. Well, hopefully I can hit some of the points that you don’t hit. I plan to cover it in depth.
Good luck.
Joe, sorry but I can’t resist.
Don’t look at the dogs, concentrate on the lock.
Damn it! You looked at the dogs.
