That is creepy and dramatic. Every time CotT showed up on HBO (which seemed to be on a monthly basis in the 80's) I'd stick around just to watch that sequence. Ray's massive contribution to animation and the fantasy genre received a great tribute in "Monsters, Inc." Remember where Mike had reservations for dinner with his girlfriend?
