Our first episode on "Sapphire and Steel" is now available at www.britishinvaders.com Eventually we plan to cover many of the shows mentioned here. Some Avengers episodes count as SF (e.g. the Cybernauts) but not all. I kinda wish I could find one about older British SF and Fantasy.

There was one quote given in a scifi mag about the first few series...If you are in the shot you are in the plot, since they often couldn't afford extras. Anyway other UK scifi series: Blakes 7 UFO Space:1999 Most of Gerry Anderson's puppet series (Fireball XL5, Stingray, etc) would fall into the scifi category. Starcops A for Andromeda Quatermass Catweasel (fantasy) There was also `Out of the Unknown', which adapted many classic short scifi stories, sadly the BBC dumped many of the episodes. Granted it has a HUGE element of action adventure to it true, but since it does have that campy scifi as well (robots, mind control, just to name a couple) I'd have to say that it does fall under sci-fi. Granted not hard-core scifi ala B5, Trek or Star Wars, but a type of scifi none the less. Anyhow either way you look at it it's still one heck of a show! Tim but either it IS or isn’t SciFi.
