Oh, this is going to be good! I’ve seen both movies and they are undoubtedly classics, IMHO. This is a great retelling of the doppelganger legend, as was The Thing, another 50′s sci-fi movie with a re-make roughly 30 years later. (Suggestion for a future KAMN show anyone?)
You may want to mention that, at least supposedly, Robert Heinlein’s novel The Puppet Masters was the inspiration for the original movie. It is interesting then that Donald Sutherland, the star of the second movie, also had a major role in the movie adaptation of Heinlein’s novel.
