Faces of Fantasy
I own a hardcover copy of “Faces of Fantasy” by Patti Perret. I bought it with some signatures already in it, with a mission in mind… to get as many more signatures in there as I could. It wasn’t all that great of a mission… because all four cons I went to right after I bought it, I forgot to bring it with me. I kinda abandoned the mission in disappointment after that. It... A Summer Moving Sale
I asked the folks in the Wingin’ It chat room about this, and there seemed to be some interest in it, so I’ll ask here as well. I’m going to be moving at the end of July. Don’t worry, I’m staying in the area… but it’s past time for me to clear out some stuff. So here are some options: 1) list books, cds and possibly dvds on Half.com, and post the links here 2)... More Hasselhoff news
Doug Kress suffered a moment of Hasselhoff overload while listening to KAMN #8, so he decided to share with us. Here’s a YouTube music video. Decide for yourself if David would have become the superstar pop idol he dreamed of being. Thank you so much, Doug. Read More →
Underworld sucked, didn’t it?
I have a question for us to discuss. What’s the deal with Underworld? I’d been under the impression that the movie sucked. I mean, sucked. As of today, it has a 30% rating at Rotten Tomatoes, with Roger Ebert declaring: “This is a movie so paltry in its characters and shallow in its story that the war seems to exist primarily to provide graphic visuals.” Don’t get me wrong.... Gift Geekery
Ya know, I could easily find myself sucked into a game of Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots. So much fun for such a simple game. Read More →

Old School Knows No Bounds
My old school tendencies go way beyond scifi and fantasy when it comes to entertainment. I am a sucker for a good Western movie… I’ve loved them ever since I can remember. So when I see a book like this on the shelves, I feel compelled to buy it. This one was bought more for the horse reference factor, but I also own The Western Reader, and a really obscure reference book called The... [Read More...]
Subscription feed problems?
Okay, the RSS:Podcast link on the website appeared to have succumbed to either seppuku or some form of foul play, but damned if I can figure out what happened. By a show of comments, how many people had KAMN #1 show up in their podcatchers automatically, and how many had to browse here and download it manually? The problem should be resolved now, but I am curious to see what happens when the next show... [Read More...]
New Logo
So, what do you think about the redesigned blog logo? I was looking for a way to add a little more info on what the show’s about, without changing the simplicity of it too much, and damned if Nina didn’t come up with a cool way to do that. Everyone say “Thank You, Nina!” Read More →
Post-Con Report
It was a long weekend, but I can’t complain… the guys definitely stayed up longer than I did all weekend. But they were camped out 5 minutes away, while I had to truck it about 35 minutes away, which isn’t very conducive to the drinking and partying all night long. I will not have that problem at World Fantasy Con in Madison WI this coming November, since I am still hopeful of getting... [Read More...]
New Theme
Okay, we’re now featuring a theme whipped up by Nina, the web genius behind the design and layout over at Slice of SciFi, and who’s also done some awesome behind the front door tweaks and pulls that you’ll see once Dragon Page switches servers. So, what do y’all think? Read More →
Something about this Look
…just isn’t 100% working for me. It’s pretty, it’s called Pool, but I’m not feeling it. We need a new theme, or something, but for now this will have to do. I am not a PHP coder or site designer by any stretch of the imagination. And yeah, I’m still open to ideas about the site design. Read More →
